Coloured & Hand Finished Concrete Services

Colour Concrete

Coloured concrete is considered to be one of the most effective ways to improve the appearance of any home or business. Coloured concrete can be made to look different by employing different finishing techniques. A broom finish creates one look, but we can also create "swirl" (also referred to as "fans") patterns to create a hand finished look. We can also apply the stamped method to mimic various finish looks, such as slate or brick.

Hand & Broom Finish

A hand finish is when you see "swirls" or "fans" on the surface of the cement. A hand finish is created just as the name states. After leveling the cement the crew must get down and create these "swirls" or "fans" by hand. This is a very commonly practiced finish in our area and has been for many years.

A broom finish also is done basically as its name states. Once the leveling of the concrete is finished the crew uses special tools to create a clean finish on the surface of the cement. This practice has also been around for a long time and is also used often in our area.

When doing floors the cement finisher must use a trowel machine to create a smooth finish on cement. This finish is primarily done indoors; however, in certain circumstances it may be used to finish outdoors on surfaces such as patios and or other areas that the customer may require smooth surface finish.

Ingratta Cement & Drainage Inc. has over 25 years of experience finishing cement with these methods. On every job we do our best to create a beautifully finished cement slab for our customers. Please contact us to learn more or to schedule a free estimate.
